I haven't got a clue why Allaire would have written that in.  If that were a major 
concern, then why didn't they tell us that back in version 2.0?  And why didn't Ben 
Forta address it in his book?

Perhaps it's because complex directory structures with extensive sub-directories are 
inherently BAD application design.

But trust me on this one.  Your application.cfm file IN ITSELF is not going to kill 
your server.

If you need another analogy, consider this.  A GUN, by itself, is not dangerous.  In 
fact it's quite stable.  But put if you use the gun incorrectly, the results can be 
deadly.

Don't sweat teh application.cfm file.  Or just create the application 100% fusebox and 
forget about the file.
