Subject: conversion problem SOT

New problem with my csv process... I've got one column that
occasionally
spits out bad text - I start with an Excel spreadsheet, convert the
column
format to "TEXT" and save it as a CSV file... When I convert it all
looks
fine... When I close it and reopen it, the field on SOME rows has all
POUND
SIGNS in it - all the text is gone..

WHAT could possibly cause this? It's not all rows that have text in
that
column - only some.
