Sean I tried the procedure in Crristian's Blog a few days ago and bad results. 5 sent an email to Christian (summarized below); 1) After making the changes outlined in the blog, JRun seemed to run OK with 1.4.1 specified in the JRun settings. 2) But, I tried to install the CFMXJ2EE Updater and *nothing* Java-related would work from the CLI, e.g. java -version failed, java -jar failed, etc. 3) So, I put the /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.4.1/Home/lib/ jvm.cfg file back to the original state & the updater installed fine. 4) I guess this means that the procedure in the blog destroys the normal CLI interface to Java and should be used with care. 5) I assume that Macromedia should be able to get a formal resolution from Apple to enable their 2 released products (JRun & CFMXJ2EE Developer) to interface Apple's Java 1.4.1.
