If they're still insisting that EVERY variable be locked, they should be able to point to a reference (preferrably on Macromedia.com) saying this should be done. If not, I'm sure you can find a "Best Practices" reference of your own. I'm still going with the theory (hopefully) that you've gotten one or two bad tech people. I really hope so.
