No, I don't think you're crazy at all. The salesperson should have a
deep
understanding on what can and can not be done, and should consult you
(the
developer) in the event that they do not have the answer to a question.
They
should pose that question to you away from the client.
But, we don't live in a perfect world do we? Especially on the Eastern
Shore
(translation for the uninitiated: Technological Backwater).
