Does anyone know of any sites out there that might show some examples of CF
interacting with JAVA?  Just looking for a some examples so to get started.  I
am going to read up on Java coding  - took a few courses a few years ago but
never actually used it.  We recently upgrade to CFMX fro J2EE and I am
interested in seeing what is now open to me from the Java world.

Mike - maybe this would be a good topic for a NYCFUG meeting.

I would also add that most of the tricky things that you needed custom tags
for in the 4.5/5.0 days are now nicely encapsulated within the Java
framework that MX runs on.  Everything you need to deal with zip archives,
thumbnail generation, creating PDFs, etc. you can do using Java.  The only
downside to the free version of Blue Dragon is that cfobject/createObject
are disabled. ;-(

While PHP and the whole "LAMP" idea may be very popular with small
businesses and freelancers, I've seen near zero acceptance of it anywhere
else. That's not a criticism, just an observation.
