I've never done BIND on winXP, but it was pretty simple to put BIND 8 on
win2k, if I remember correctly.  It's been a few years, but I think it was
just run the installer, write your zone files, and away you go.  It
installed the services and even provided a little tool for controlling
(start, stop, refresh) them without using the services panel.

You'll also have to open up your firewall, of course.  Stupid idiot mistake,
but I know I've spent hours troubleshooting network issues that that's been
the reason.
