Railo, deployed on my Mac takes 5.5 meg (no application or database).
You probably could distribute a small plug-n-play app on a 32Meg USB
Memory-stick for about $16.

A 2 Gig USB Memory stick is $328

A CD/DVD is cheaper and has much more capacity, but the idea of
read-write plug and play is attractive.

But, what I think would be really cool, would be to distribute your
plug-n-play CFAnywhere app on an iPod

A 4-Gig mini-iPod costs $249, comes in colors, has both FireWire & USB
2,0 -- oh, it has other uses too :).

I don't speak German so I didn't download jmuffin -- it would be nice
to see a more robust Railo example that used more tags & a Database.

When you implement a more robust cfhttp tag (one that can read a
delinited text file & build a query), it is a simple matter ti include
a program that creates and populates a database on the RDBMS of the
user's choosing.

I saw that in the documentation -- but I am not sure I understand,

What is the advantage of each web app having its own administrator --
many things like datasources  usually would be set at a system level,
rather than an application

I can see a need at the application level for an administrator to set
application customization, users, authorization, db maintenance, etc.
-- but that is usually provided with the application, as needed.

What am I missing?

Of course, you knew I'd ask --  when can we expect the beta  & will it
be a public beta.

Keep up the good work!
