the attributes in the cfhttp-tag will be implemented in near future (beta 1).

this is exactly the problem. if you know the datasource of a certain other web, you would be able to use it. with railo you can define a datasource that is only visible to the actual web app (if desired).
with railo you will be able to set your own custom tag directory, application timeout, error log, exclude several tags (eg. cfregistry or cfobject aso.) from execution for a certain web
here some other features of this administration:
- turn on debugging for your web
- register own directories for function library and tag library descriptors only for your web (like jsp)
- configure scope cascading (strict, small, standard)
- merge url and form scope
- define files for handling the events of application-termination, session-termination
- define locations for logfiles (mail error, request timeout aso.)
- define mail servers
- define time zone server
- regional configurations (currency, language, encoding aso.)
- and more to come
with the global administrator we intend to integrate all the local administrators (for example to check certain settings) and to add settings for certain local webs.
We hope that we could convince you of the need of local and global administrators and made you envy them ...
