well duh! of course u can still use it but is it being dev'd anymore? no the comment was in ref to he/she saying well they dont know if cfml will be here tomorrow. ok so what if its not? ppl will still run it for yrs to come, hell u still got ppl on here running 4.5 & how old is it? and how in the world is it going to just "go away"? even if MM went belly up, someone would buy it not to mention companies such as new atlanta and the other ones currently making cfm servers. I remember even before i started doing this, my first real estate web site that i had made 4 me was in coldfusion and i remember one of my clients looking at it and moaning about how cfm wasnt going to be around for much longer and that i shoulda went with the "new great technology" called ASP. nuff said......... ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Dave Watts <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Wed, 17 Nov 2004 11:20:49 -0500 >> wouldnt using the words "safety" and "microsoft" in the same >> sentence and have a direct meaning to one another be >> slanderous statement? makes me wanna barfffffff >> >> thats funny, the perception that is. >> and thats the exact route i would take to fight it. >> running it on a windows server pretty much puts a target on >> your back, wouldnt it be "safer" to run cfm on a linux >> server?
