For the backup itself, the easiest way may be to write a script/batch file that can be scheduled on the client side that would use tools included with the OS to create the backup file then FTP it to your server. I do something similar with my workstation here to make backup copies of my accounting databases to get backups up to two of my servers. If you're planning to make this your primary business, you might consider having custom backup/transfer software written for the client side.
