I've been working in Flash for the past 7 years and thus far, it seems that MM has done some really good and really bad things for flash. I highly doubt they'll ever push advertising considering the RealPlayer fall from grace.
Some of the Good --- Video support Flash Communication Server Mobile Players Some of the Bad --- Self updating plugin.. ah nope. Reliable version detection... haha yeah right. File form upload support... maybe in another life. I hope MM takes a hard look at the priorities that have needed attention since version 4.
