Actually, CT normally supports multiple instances for that price, but they had to stop due to MM acknowledge bugs that are causing stability issues. J2EE sessions were not timing out at the same rate as the CF sessions and we saw lots of errors about expired or invalid sessions. We've been waiting several months for MM to issue a fix.
