I'd disagree arguing that it will cost you more in the long wrong to upgrade and test/debug twice. You'll get more mileage out of going straight to CFMX7. And just because you don't NEED the new features today, does not mean you will need or find a use for them tomorrow. You may even find a way to improve on your current code with a new feature.
