My Volleyball client has a friend that wants to be an affiliate and signup in her affiliate program, so I built one in a night (gotta luv CF!).
I have no problems with BUILDING it, my problem is I dunno exactly *WHAT* it should do. As it stands now, I set them up in my db, give them an AffID, give them a link with token like: ?AFFID=327, I track them as they hit the site using onSessionStart, enter all the needed info in the db when the sale is complete - works great! Then I have an affiliate admin area where they can view generated sales from their ID, and their percentage of sales. So where do I go from here? What's the routine when actually paying the affiliates? Do you just set them up on a monthly payment schedule? Ok ABC Corp, we pay you your cut the 1st of every month? I just don't know exactly how it's supposed to work. And how should I let them view sales? Right now it's just displaying everything generated with their ID.
