I don't see how CFEclipse could even begin to encroach on DWMX sales or even
begin to worry MM. It's not a WYSIWYG editor and really has none of the
features that DWMX has. It's a develoeprs tool not a designers tool.
It might bother them if they still sold Homesite or CFStudio, which they
don't. Homesite is now a Freebie with DWMX, so perhaps they think that
CFEclipse might be a good replacement for Homesite so they can stop
supporting it, as they obviously have little interest in doing so, proven by
the fact that you can only get it by buying DWMX and it has not been updated
in a long time.
I have looked at CFEclipse, and it has a way to go before I would choos eit
over Homesite.

The word was basically that MM sees as CFEclipse as a nice product that is
helping MM's customers by existing, and therefore is worthy of not being
attacked (even though it's potentially encroaching on DW sales to some
degree). MM might support development in some ways, or it might not. The
two will remain separate, at least for the forseeable future.
