Hi all,
As of late, we have seen a ton of foul language on this list. Am i the only one who doesn't appreciate it, or for that matter, thinks it's inappropriate and unprofessional? All types of people are on this list, some who it will offend, and others who will not, but isn't it in the best interest of the CF-Talk list (not to mention HoF) to have as many CF developers on our list as possible? I'm not trying to be an 'enforcer', nor a 'prude', and, I assume I will probably get flamed for doing this (not to mention a bunch of nasty e-mails with foul language), but I do feel that it's time someone says SOMETHING about this. I know there are probably issues like 'what constitutes foul language' and 'what about free speech' and so on, but I think that most common 'unprofessional' foul language is pretty well agreed on, and unfortunately, over the last several days, we've had plenty of that. Some of it was in anger, and some in jest, but it's still inappropriate and unprofessional all the same. I'm also not pointing the finger at anyone, so don't anybody take this personally! I just felt that someone needs to say something so that those who are recently new on this list don't think this is a common occurrence, and also those who are offended don't leave the list as a result. I want a really good CF resource that's clean, and CF-Talk used to be that...I'm hoping that it will continue to be as well... Discussion welcome...
