Well, that's sort of the problem. Google is claiming that their servers were crushed by the onslaught of interest, so they've actually completely closed the ability to register a new site for now. Not only are they having trouble with capacity, but the usefulness of the charts they give for free is pretty low. Sure, there's a page hit/page count chart, but the "useful" charts are really those that track conversions and things related to their AdWord and AdSense services. Perhaps they'll expand their offering over time, and I'm happy as far as tracking my blog stats go, but I wouldn't put my company's sole tracking capability in the service's hands yet either. (And this doesn't even take in to account the privacy aspects of Google "owning" your data.)
