Some of my clients use SmarterStats. I just got a look ant the fairly new v3 of the product and it looked pretty good. Resource usage is indeed very low.
On my own servers I still use LiveStats. I think I have 6.5. Upgraded from 5 only when they were going to drop support for it. I was just thinking about upgrading to 8 but a) its $400 and B) that sucker is just a killer in terms of resources. The thing needs MSDE and eats quite a bit of memory and CPU cycles.
