Hi Bryan, Yes, they could enter their text message email address. Do you happen to know if every telecom company has the email to text message capability? If that is so then it would be viable to do what you suggest.
Since I think a lot of people aren't aware of this capability (I wasn't - I just looked up on Verizon and found that it's [EMAIL PROTECTED]), I would need to look up all the major telecom companies and how they construct their email addresses based on the cell number, and provide this to the users, so as not to place the burden of figuring out their text message email address on the user.
