Now here's an interesting problem...I went to the documents that have been recommended to me at http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/7/htmldocs/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/h tml/wwhelp.htm?context=ColdFusion_Documentation&file=00000049.htm and they said in step 7 for configuring Apache for CF MX 7 in Windows to do this:
"Copy the CFIDE and cfdocs directories from cf_root/wwwroot to your web server root directory. In addition, copy your application's CFM pages from cf_root/wwwroot to your web server root directory. In the multiserver configuration, these files are under the jrun_root/servers/cfusion/cfusion-ear/cfusion-war directory." Ok, so I go off looking for the CFIDE and CFDOCS directories and the only place I found CFDOCS is in zipped up folders like cfusion-admin-supp_en.zip...there are other zip folders too, but none contain the CFIDE folder. There's also a CFDOCS folder in the cfusion-ibm-supp_en.zip file...which CFDOCS should I use? And where is the CFIDE directory? Am I supposed to unzip all these manually or did something go wrong in the installation? And, just to note, I chose the single server setup during installation...was that correct? Guidance, anyone? I have Apache going find with Coldfusion on my system, and i looked through my installatoin and that module doesnt exist here. I dont recall having to install any modules. (The livedocs link says we have to install the module mod_coldfusion_so) WAIT!! just as I was wrting that, I vaguely recall there was an issue with one VERSION of Apache over another. Can anyone shed any light on that? Are there some versions of Apache that work with CF happily and others that dont?
