That is AWESOME to know that that actually works. We use Xstandard and have just not had to do that yet.
As far as the active-x object... I don't really see the risks involved. Xstandard doesn't seem to do anything outside of the web services. It cannot hurt the server in any way as it lives on the client machine, not the server (nor does it have access to the server in any way). And as far as harm to the client, I am not sure what that could be? Its not like someone else could attack another person's computer. It seems pretty safe to me. ....................... Xstandard is pretty powerful though, and their support may have a good solution. > I can confirm that XStandard Pro DOES do this...although the free version does not. I had tried a demo of it recently, and pasting from a Word document with images caused the editor to start uploading the images...it was set to upload them to http://soap.xstandard.com/attachmentlibrary.aspx ....presumably, if you have some compatible web service, you can set a parameter and upload to your own server. They were automatically named with a generated id, and were presented as jpgs and gifs...which may have matched what the original source images had been...I didn't check. But the fact that it relies on a plug-in or activex control is a problem, unless you are in a controlled environment. And, yes, the formatting of the word document, even things like bold and font colors, were stripped out...however the tables were kept intact. -- Jim Wright Wright Business Solutions [EMAIL PROTECTED] 919-417-2257 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:244305 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
