I second that.
In terms of SQL prowess being an indication of a developer's skills, some of 
the reporting I have done, requires an intense knowledge of SQL Server complex 
queries and Stored Procedures.  Something that your average HTML guru who just 
picked up teach yourself Coldfusion in 10 days, won't have any clue about.

That being said, it's only in my work with intranets and extranets that I got 
more involved with Coldfusion, AJAX, JSON, XML, and dhtml, to a level that I 
hadn't with the jobs I had working on public sites.
