Knowing SQL is a v.important part of the whole package. No excuse for not
knowing a decent about of T-SQL.

It's partly this reason that I like Reactor for CF.  Keeps all the logic in
the language, vs. req. knowledge of SQL.

Basically the same, but avoids making the dev learn all the dialects...
good and bad about this... as with SQL knowledge alone, you can generally
jump ship and make a wad of dough...

And you'd still need the SQL knowledge to be "fast" even with a ORM.

Eh, guess like all things, it just depends- or doesn't matter, according to
perspective. :-P
