I truly doubt that it will perpetually be in beta. I think that, like 
most other OS projects, those that are working on it are doing so mostly 
unfunded and on their own time, supporting their families by holding 
down paying positions or full time contracting jobs.

It's difficult to have a steady release cycle when you aren't being paid 
for your efforts (lots of fame, little fortune). He doesn't chime in too 
often (because he's very busy), but Mark Drew pays a lot of attention to 
what all of us developers have to say about CFEclipse. What we like and 
dislike, features we would like to see, anticipating our future wants 
and needs, etc. I give him, and everyone else contributing to CFEclipse, 
a lot of credit for continuing the work on this product, knowing that 
they gain nothing but our respect and appreciation (and maybe a visit to 
their wishlists). I know that, over time, we will still see fantastic 
advances in CFEclipse.
