I'm talking Visa/MC/Amex rules. I suppose the bank that issues a merchant 
account could have their own rules, but most just follow Visa/MC guidelines. 
They recently published the PCI (Payment Card Industry) Data Security 
Standard...this covers all the rules you are supposed to follow if you store 
credit card data...showing this to a customer that wants to do this might be 
enough of a deterrent. ;-)
