Yeah, it's from the Adobe system requirements. But in practice, for
production servers, it tends to be significantly higher.

For development, yes. And if all you're doing is running development
instances, you might see a comparatively significant difference running a
bunch of Linux instances vs Windows instances. But on a typical
dual-processor Xeon machine, that might make a difference of one or two VMs.

I think that, for hosting companies, Linux makes a lot of sense, because it
is easier to manage a large number of Linux machines than Windows machines,
and Linux is comparatively simple (in a good way).
