I am a fan of relative paths... But I am becoming more of the mind set
that the path should be "Application URL" (ex. http://www.bennadel.com/)
+ "root-relative path (ex. foo/bar/blam.gif). I currently do relative
relative (ex. ../../../), but especially when dealing with SEO links vs.
front-controllre links, its becoming more of a hassle to have the ../../
style relative.

What I don't like is the idea of using absolute-relative paths (
"/foo/bar/blam.gif" ) as this makes presumptions about where the root
folder is. This is not flexible.

Subject: Relative(document) vs site root paths

What are everyone's thoughts on this subject?

I like relative. Relative work better with cfincludes and don't require
creating a mapping in the cfadmin. I've been raised on raltive paths. I
have a newbie that is using site root paths.

I've read the help files and they tell you to chose what you're most
comfortbale with.

Please post your thoughts.

Thanks

D
