My boss got a brand new Dell laptop for my co-worker with Vista pre-installed. After a week or so it had slowed to a crawl. My boss (who's a pretty good IT guy in his spare time) jacked around with it to try and remedy the situation, but it only got worse. He gave up, returned the Dell and gave her a Macbook instead.
