I have used CF with the following databases...

FoxPro (never again)
Access (good for a site with a few hits a day)
SQL 7 (ehh)
SQL 2000 (better then SQL 7)
SQL 2005 (a little better performance wise compared to SQL 2000)

My vote is SQL Server 2000 since it is very mature and that is the one I
have been using. I haven't tried MS SQL 2005, but I would let the beta
testers.. umm... users work out the bugs first and then migrate SQL 2000 -
SQL 2005 sometime in the future.

In my opinion, don't go for mySQL if you are building something for an
enterprise.
