Yes, it is out of the box ready for Flex.

If you're running a development server on youw own machine, the
simplest setup is to install CF8 in standalone mode (C:\Coldfusion8)
in the standard directories with the built in web server.... Setting
up your Flex projects will be simpler because you can just say "Use
local coldfusion instance" and all the defaults will be fine.
