Tom, Thanks I think I'll try doing a fresh CF8 download and reinstall on my Vista OS and see if this fixes my issues.
My original WEB-INF direcroty was sitting in the D:\ColdFusion8\wwwroot\WEB-INF then I did a mapping to my local IIS install.
