We handle it however the client(s) want it .   If someone brings a
hosting client to us and wants to be the one in the drivers seat, that
suits us fine  If, like you they want to step out and have the site
owner have the relationship with us, that's fine too.

In the one case, we will never EVER contact the site owner, only
through the person who brought the site to us,   and in the second
case, we would only contact the developer person if it's a development
issue but always copy the client to keep him in the loop.

I don't believe it's good business to be so rigid that you only have
one day to have a relationship with a client.   You bring business to
us, you tell us how you want the  relationship to work, and as long as
it makes sense, that's how it'll be.
