CFEclipse is already a well-maintained and open-source CFML IDE that, unlike homesite, is cross-platform.
I personally can't think of much reason or need for another open-source IDE - particularly one that needs work in order to be a viable option. I wouldn't complain if it were open-sourced, but I highly doubt anyone would further it's development. Getting developers involved is the hardest part of an open-source project IMO. If HomeSite were open-sourced, would you contribute to it? Would you pay someone else to contribute to it?
