A bunch of the GUI tools for git don't support all operations.

If you only view git thru the GUI tools, you'll get a very skewed view
of it. I've been using git for nine months on a large distributed
project and I can say that it is head and shoulders above svn in terms
of sophistication and its ability to work with rapidly evolving, large
team, large codebase systems. But you have to work with command line
git to really appreciate its power...
