Besides the "real" info we've been talking about: Mark Phippard @ Subclipse is a freaking bad ass. I love that dude. Wasn't "too cool" to help a sometimes-communicatively-challenged brother out. :) That's where I started with Eclipse dev, if memory serves.
My contribution to EGit is still blow'n in the wind, for all intents and purposes-- but hey, my own repo is up on github so folks can compile EGit themselves if they want the functionality... (um, yeah). It's my bad, as I haven't pressed (I generally don't), but I didn't press with Subclipse either. Maybe nothing is better than something, sometimes (FWIW tho, I use my changes *all the time* -- I love key bindings!). Funnily, it was the same functional contribution to both Subclipse and EGit (key binding). Eh. That's neither here nor there, really. Might make someone think "he doesn't like Git because of /that/!", but I can say with all honesty that I don't not like Git. I also don't not love double negatives. Heh. I think Git is super-cool. I'm just not all "it is so super cool, everyone should use it, over any other version control solution out there!". At this point at least. Maybe that will change. Anyways, I'm more about promoting Source Control, than a specific flavor. And mostly mostly, branching and merging is fundamental to any SCM. To say that it's counter intuitive in SVN, is akin to saying "I haven't read the docs". Those might be fighting words, but since Brian bounced, who cares? Not him. LOL. (I'm soooooo just kidding B-man, don't take offense (unless you want to, I could care less)). LOLOLOL! Ah well. TFGIF. :d3n -- Walk on road, hm? Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later [makes squish gesture] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology-Michael-Dinowitz/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:333519 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
