+1 to anything Dave says Keep in mind, even a really nice NAS is slower to access than a set of RAID 5/10 - 10k/15k drives. It's going to castrate your machine to some degree.
I think you're going to have a very difficult time running CF on the NAS directly - if it's even possible. By comparison, even my 5 year old linksys wireless router is running Apache and PHP - That doesn't mean I'd use it as a public web server. It just wasn't meant to do that. That being said, let us know if you do it and it works. I'd check out some hosts online - CrystalTech or EdgeWeb offer great service and good products at decent prices -- Alan Rother Manager, Phoenix Cold Fusion User Group, www.AZCFUG.org Twitter: @AlanRother ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:352255 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
