Eric, just accept that you need to add an Apache alias and move on. It'll take you 3 minutes to do this. Several hours of collective time have been spent here explaining this, and it's getting silly now. If the goal has become trying to figure out why your CF Admin mappings are acting in a non-standard way, that's a separate question. But the proper way to do what you want to do is to add an Apache alias. That's all there is to it.
