Why does FTP not work? You don't actually say why it doesn't work. Code insight does work, see where I said you may need to add those mappings to the project.
Yes you can, the view in browser was and still might be a button that is a short cut to the run as ColdFusion Application, And just because the button is not there in the public beta, doesn't mean (And I seriously cross my fingers as I say this) it will not be in the final release.
