We tried AbleCommerce and dumped it -- wasted a lot of time and money in the
process, too.
Basically, it's a pain in the ass to customize. It's so complicated, so
configurable, that any minor change is very problematic. All the code is
broken up into about a billion include files, thus ensuring that you'll
(probably) pull your hair out before you find what you're looking for.
All in all, a big thumbs down.
