Actually, if I recall correctly, at the last Devcon, Macromedia people
stated that there will most likely be a release which, instead of running on
J2EE platforms, runs on the .NET common language runtime. They also stated
that these might not be released simultaneously, but I can see the appeal of
supporting both platforms from their perspective.

Since Neo will essentially be a bunch of application code which sits on top
of an application server, rather than being an application server in its own
right, this goal seems feasible to me.
