Whether a mobile device is a Palm Pilot, Pocket PC, Handheld or cell phone - these are becoming so smart and powerful that they are more than just Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) but rather CDA or Corporate Digital Assistants. They are an enterprise devices and we, as developers, have to consider them a client to our backend web servers just like our desktop PCs. I say this because they run TCP/IP, have a web browser, can interprete XML and pretty much everything the Desktop PC can do.
