Back to this issue ... still not solved. First, to answer Dave's question below -- single DB/datasource for client variable storage.
All of the machines that had been pointing at the proxy server have been reconfigured to direct connect with the Internet. I'm now explicitly setting CFID and CFTOKEN cookies in the Application.cfm file. As Dave Watts suggested, I've set SETDOMAINCOOKIES to "True" I'm, however, still passing URL.TOKEN in the URL strings. Whereas when I first posted the message to start this thread, and the amount of scrambling was high, the amount of scrambling has decreased significantly. But it hasn't gone away completely. The next thing I'm going to do, I think, is clear the CACHE on all the browsers. Any other ideas?
