Yes, I'm pretty sure that CF MX uses JDBC for all datasources. This is why it won't support the dynamic connectstring stuff added in CF 5. During the install, if you have CF 5 already installed, it'll create JDBC datasources for all of the previously defined ODBC datasources, but you may have to go in and tweak these datasources to get them to work. Once this is done, CF MX won't use ODBC for anything, and if you subsequently create ODBC datasources in the Control Panel, they won't be created within CF MX.
