Yeah... I second the "beginning PHP book" by Wrox. (You know it's good
because the author pics on the front all look like nerds.)
The "Learn PHP in 24 Hours" book is also quite good.
Another awesome resource is hotscripts.com -- you can download thousands of
PHP scripts and see how they work.
As for all you CF'ers who are afraid of PHP, give it a chance! It's actually
a really cool language to work in...

Not that I'm an expert PHP developer (yet), but it doesn't seem too hard.
I've only built 2 apps in it so far, but it's similar to JSP or ASP. I
bought a Wrox book I really like called Beginning PHP4. I highly recommend
