This
ad is how you can tell if it was placed by a recruiting parasite, oops I mean
recruiting agency. They have no idea what these technologies are and are
parroting something they read elsewhere. I am surprised they do not have
fortran, dos and abacus experience would be an asset.
Basically if you were a company looking for a Cold Fusion developer who
would you hire? The person that says on their resume, I am a cold fusion
developer with these RELATED skills and that's all I do and do well. Or the
developer that lists everything because they had the tools installed on their
computer for 2 years, therefore having 2 years experience with all of them. I
actually saw an ad published looking for an ASP.NET developer with 2 years
experience. Hmmm, how long has it been out now?
I just
don't get some of these requirements. I know some pretty hot developers that you
could classify as geniuses and they would not know all of these
things.
The
moral of the story, stay away from recruiting agencies as you will never come up
to their standards. Ben Forta would probably get knocked back from this job with
the reason you do not have enough experience in all the required skills.
