Basically all i am saying is if you pay a recruitment firm (usually between
3-10k) for their role in seeking out qualified programmers, you bloody
should atleast get a background report on that person and a clear
understanding of what they do and are about.

Some firms just forward resumes on with a note attached? thats not good
enough, re-structure the resume etc to validate points of requirements... as
for that amount of money i don't want to read an entire resume and then
cross-reference it with my own points per candidate?

There however is one good recruiter, his name is Anthony Chadwick from i
think it was Greythorn; This guy grills you and churns you inside out and
leaves you saying "i'll do better i promise".
