I don't see why not. The IRC protocol is quite simple -- in fact you could
use a telnet client for IRCing if you wanted to.
Unfortunately I'm not clued enough with Flash just yet to do it, but I
could try the server-side stuff.
Although if we ran an IRC server under the same domain, we may not even
need the CF server / Flash gateway, do we? We could opening a connection
and try talking directly to the IRC server. Although going through the CF
server would be better for those stuck behind a firewall...
