I agree with your comments, I personally am appalled about the abuse of privilege that some personal interest spammers have taken recently with their postings.

What we have to remember is that blogs are personal journals and because of that there will be, from time to time, off topic postings to these blogs. It’s part of human nature to voice an opinion, look at the tangents that we sometimes go off on with this list.

Geoff has been pretty good with his selection of feeds, most of them are relevant, and there are a large number of people who visit the site to get their daily dose of bleeding edge news and gossip. After checking my email it's the second thing that I do online each day.

There are improvements eventually planned for the site, I’m sure that Geoff would appreciate any feedback that you would care to give.

See... Just taking the first example that springs to mind, cause its
starting to annoy me today... the 'Mr Rogers Croaks' entry...

I mean call me mean spirited... But I've NEVER seen Mr Rogers on tv. I
knowwhat its about vaguely? but the fact that some nice old guy in the US is
dead? Isn't really grabbing my attention yanno. Certainly not 4 forum
threads, 3 email strings and a blog read about interest. I'm sorry he's
dead... but I could have quite happily moved on never knowing and never
noticing the difference.

I dunno.. I didn't think there was any sort of 'neat! - highlight this'
functionality on full as a goog. I thought it was just a list of stuff that
had been posted, which I'm sorry to say to the bloggers, frequently includes
stuff that's not all that interesting.

I dunno. My blog is pretty damn boring really. Especially if your looking
for CF stuff or techno babble. I think there's a random bitch about my ex
and comment/gloating on how work is paying for my CFMX certification book
and exam... Not exactly enthralling reading for basically anybody by the few
friends who read it because its about me.

Alternately.. It'd be a really neat function for fullasagoog if you could
get a tucow's style review 'What was posted today that was actually
interesting to CFER's/Flashers/In General' - that'd rock. But I'm missing it
if its there.

Doesn't Full As A Goog do enough of the blog thing for you now???

Blog of the Whatever (day/week/hour/month)

For those of us who always miss those really good blog entries and have

to

be bludgeoned around the head later...

Preferably available as a webserver feed, a 'This blog entry roxxors'

A developers toybox - The code samples mentioned and an application with
references to the neat applications/etc that people work from and love.

A CFAussie-Chat list maybe? For OT posts...

A webservice that we can call getfarked(X) X being the number of fark
entries to retrieve in an XML format...

Id like to see a categorised faq/code library. And not just CFML... i

want

to
see code samples for everything your typical CF developer may use.
cfml,html,dhtml/css/javascript, SQL, flashMX and anything else the

average

CF
developer might find useful.

Now i know that all this stuff is floating around the CFAUSSIE list in
various
places, but id still like to see it in one place.

Even if it was just a simple table of records with nothing more than a
category,
short description, and URL/link to the appropriate CFAUSSIE list thread.

Would make browsing/searching for some little obscure code snippet much
easier.

setting it up as a webservice would be even sweeter! I could search for
stuff
(and possibly add/edit stuff) straight from our intranet :)

If you already planned to add something along these lines, please ignore
everything i just said :)
