Is there any reason why it has to be _javascript_?

What about Flash?
What about a Java Applet?

It is certainly possible to do it using either of those. If you really need it to be _javascript_ and Netscape compliant, it will be very limited functionality.

Using either Java or Flash would probably provide a much better user experience.

I seem to remember seeing a couple of wysiwyg editors in Java and Flash, but I don't have the URLs to hand. A bit of searching in Google should unearth them though.

Subject: [cfaussie] [OT] _javascript_ Based WYSIWYG Editor?

Anyone know of a 100% _javascript_ based WYSIWYG Editor (open source) that does not use IE's features (commandExec) and works in other browsers like NetScape etc.???

TIA
